Expresso's or Cappuccino's anyone?

Well my hubby's family exchanges "Christmas/New Year's gifts", and we also get something from his parents. So this year for the first time ever I actually had quite a list of items that would be fun/nice to have. One of them was a Expresso/Cappuccino Coffee Machine.. I was so excited when I saw that I had actually gotten that, it was more a "cool want to have" than a "have to have" item but so fun to get! Anyway so of course anybodies guess would be what have I been drinking since I've gotten it.....? Right how could you not guess Cappuccino's/expresso's! LOL :) Not hard-core trust me! I actually didn't figure out how it worked until Tuesday morning. It stood on my counter for a good week before I messed with it to figure out how it worked!

Now I'm going to have to find somewhere to store my other coffee pot since there is honestly nothing wrong with it... and I'm not going to get rid of it since my new one only makes 10 cups at a time. When we get larger crowds I think the second machine will come in handy so that is why I'm going to hang onto it, also because it was an engagement gift so I can't quite get rid of that yet!

Anyway, here is the machine that I got since I'm sure some of you are curious about that as well :)

Anyway... for those of my friends/family who like cappuccino's or expresso's come on by for a visit sometime and I can definitely make you one! :)

Pumpkin Spice Latte

Well, no more Starbucks necessary for the Pumpkin Spice Latte once you have this recipe!

If you are like me and love the Pumpkin Spice Latte this can save you a ton of money, because now you can make it at home!

Anyway here is the recipe:

Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte
2 cups milk
4 tablespoons canned pumpkin puree
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1-2 shots espresso (about 1/4 cup of espresso or 1/2 cup of strong brewed coffee if you don’t have an espresso machine.)
For Iced: Brew your coffee or espresso and let it sit out for a few minutes until it reaches room temperature. You could also put it in the fridge or freezer to speed up the cooling process.

In a saucepan combine milk, pumpkin and sugar and cook on low heat, stirring, just until the sugar and pumpkin are desolved. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and spice, transfer to a blender and process for 15 seconds until foamy. If you don’t have a blender, don’t worry about it – just whisk the mixture really well with a wire whisk.

Pour into a cup filled with ice. Add the espresso or coffee on top.

Top with whipped cream and sprinkle pumpkin pie spice, nutmeg, or cinnamon on top.

For Hot: In a saucepan combine milk, pumpkin and sugar and cook on medium heat, stirring, until steaming. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and spice, transfer to a blender and process for 15 seconds until foamy. If you don’t have a blender, don’t worry about it – just whisk the mixture really well with a wire whisk.

Pour into a large mug or two mugs. Add the hot espresso or coffee on top.

Top with whipped cream and sprinkle pumpkin pie spice, nutmeg, or cinnamon on top.

Enjoy! [:)]

Coffee? Who said that it isn't a good thing to get...

... 3 bags? LOL! Now I will have coffee coming out of my ears for another 9 months or so! The first bag I just finished grinding the last of it.. so we are getting pretty close to 3 months out of that bag right now :)

That is unless I get John drinking it as well.. which hasn't happened so far so I think we will be alright.. haha! :)
Anyway what happened is I asked my mom to get me a bag if she was going to Costco, which she was so she did. Anyway then John's mom went and did some groceries in Costco in AB when they were there and she got me two more bags! YAY! Thanks MOM(s)! xxx's
