Honestly sometimes I think thank-you cards can be over-rated.. I mean if you give me a gift and I open it when you are there and say thank-you is that not enough? Seems like sometimes it isn't because around here everyone still sends out thank-you cards. For a baby shower etc I get it.. but if you come to visit after the baby is born in my opinion it's not necessary. Who knows maybe I'm alone, but I think that a new mother has enough going on never mind having to worry about sending out cards! That all being said, yes I did make thank-you cards because everyone does it.

Stamper 10 Project - Men's Birthday Card
For my last Stamper 10 class I had the ladies making Birthday Cards. We made 3 different cards, but tonight I'm only going to share one with you. A men's birthday card. I'm sure a lot of you will agree that men are hard to design/make cards for. That being said SU! has some great sets in the catalog that definitely make your life a little easier. For instance what about the "Need For Speed" Stamp Set is perfect. What guy doesn't like something that has a engine in it, lol :)
Anyway, enough said.. we used the above mentioned set to create this card:
Until next time..

My Digital Studio: Christmas Cards
Well I'm sure you've started to notice that I frequently end up posting something that I've created using our fabulous MDS program. If you don't have one yet yourself contact me today and I'll be more than happy to let you know how you can order one! Trust me once you have the program the possibilities are endless!!!!
Anyway, that's not what this post was going to be all about :D I want to share 2 different cards that I made using my MDS program. One is going to be our (my husband and my) Christmas card, and the other my Mom and Dad's/family's Christmas card. So here they are.. now if you have any questions feel free to comment and I'll do my best to answer them. If need be it will be a separate post, if further explanation is needed. Enjoy!
I know it seems early to be thinking about Christmas cards but it was one thing I could already get crossed off of my list of things to do since I had an idea! :)

My Favorite "new" Stampin' Up! product line
So when we saw the holiday mini at Convention, I fell in love with the Spice Cake product line immediately. Did that mean it was the first thing I bought as soon as I could order from the mini? NO... believe it or not I ordered several other sets and items first. I signed up for a card swap and decided to get two other sets that I really liked for that. It was hard to choose, because there is so much in the Holiday Mini, and you can't get it all at once.. well maybe you can but I tell myself I have to have some self control and can't! LOL :)
Anyway, so now that I've started a Stamper 10 group here in the US, I decided to order several of the Spice Cake products because I simply had to have them. If I didn't get them for this month's club then I wouldn't be getting them at all. I'm going to share one of the cards that the ladies made last night.
The main color of paper for the card is Pool Party.
Take the Pool Party CS, cut your 8 1/2" x 11" Cardstock into a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece.
Fold for your card.
Next you are going to cut a 4 1/4" x 1 1/2" piece of Pear Pizzazz CS
Now take a piece of Chocolate Chip, and cut it to 4 1/4" x 1"
Using Snail, glue the Pear Pizzazz and Chocolate Chip CS together, then glue onto the card front.
Stamp the basket of pears onto a piece of Very Vanilla card stock using Soft Suede Ink and cut the image out using your paper snips. Color in the pears using Peach Parfait Ink, with a blender pen. You are going to create a little ink spot on the top of you ink pad(lid) so that you can water color. Stamp the Grateful sentiment in the corner with the Soft Suede ink as well.
For the bow you are going to tear a strip of fabric that is 1 1/2" wide and cut it to be about 5-6 inches in length. Tie this in a loose bow. Adhere to the Chocolate Chip CS using a mini Glue dot.
So there you go.. a very simple card, and yes so cute! :)

Sneak Peek: Holiday Mini
I'm sure most of you have already received your holiday mini's in the mail if you are on a mailing list through a demonstrator. Now I just wanted to share a few cards that I have made using some of the sets in the mini.
One thing you do find out in a hurry with this stamp set if you want to use it the way I have coloring with markers can be fun but a lot of work! I would explain what I did and how I made them but right now I need to get packing for our trip! Maybe if I have some time later!

Cards
Well, after I got back from convention, between swaps that I saw and demo's I was feeling really inspired. This worked out great seeing that I needed to make some cards.. two birthday ones, and an anniversary one. So I know I mentioned yesterday that I would post later with some fun ideas so here they are!
If you haven't noticed, check out the "bling" on all the cards! I got the Basic Rhinestone Jewels with one of my projects at Convention and have fallen completely in love with them, as you can probably tell. Most of the stamps that I used are new, other than the Happiness Always. That is the one I need to tell you a secret about and you won't like me for it, but it is a retired one! :( I was sad when that set retired because I loved it.. either way now I'm on a hunt for a new favorite sentiment stamp set!
Well enjoy your day, and check back later for some more card ideas. I still need to make my hubby one for our 2nd anniversary, which now I'm offically 5 days late for lol. As well as a Get Well card for a family member! So off I go :)

Cards - Bliss Set and Because I Care
So last night I was suddenly really in the mood for some stamping! Since all my stuff it within arms reach, well maybe not quite but close, and my desk is always ready to go for some stampin' time it didn't take me long to stamp these two cards below.
The one above, I used shimmer paint since it seemed to need a little extra pizzaz, and then below I took that close up picture before but that way you can see that I stamped the saying "because I care" on Very Vanilla cardstock and cut it out. Then mounted it with Stampin' Dimensionals.
So while I was stamping one card I figured I may as well make another one to put in my box with cards for when I happen to need one. I used the same color scheme and came up with this.
Enjoy!

Cards - Based on my Inspiration
Well I finally got around to making a few more cards using the inspiration that I used a little while ago. Anyway so these cards are no longer one layer cards but they give some ideas of how to use the inspiration for the one layer card and give them a little extra pizzaz! So here they are:
As you can see the first card on the top left is the first card I made using the inspiration. From there I came up with a few more. Simple.. and then one so that you can up-sell the punches that SU carries. So fun, quick and easy that who wouldn't want to make cards to give to their friends now!!
Oh and of course I can't forget this.. but you know those fantastic new pearls that SU! now carries? Well each card has one of them on there as well!
