Carving my Own stamps

So thanks to Stampin' Up! introducing a new stamp set now you can carve your own stamps if you are so inclined. After all who doesn't have a stamp that they wish was out there but you can't seem to find it anywhere? Yesterday I got my carving kit out and carved my first stamp. It was definitely a little more involved that I recommend for a first time carver but I'm still super happy with how it turned out!

If you are curious and want to see what "Undefined" is all about check out Stampin' Up!s Youtube video: Undefined - Stampin Up!

I didn't take pictures of all the steps but here it is after I finished carving out the image in the rubber:

Once this step is completed you take your craft and rubber scissors and cut around the image
You can see the rubber image and what the image looks like stamped as well. (sorry for it being sideways but blogger wouldn't cooperate)

Tractor Card - punches

I have made a few cards here and there but most of the time I've been way to busy with work and my family as well as house work that I don't have time for extra's such as stampin'. Sad fact of my life.. I hope to fix that soon though!!! Before that though, here is a card I made for a 2 year olds birthday today. A tractor - New Holland one, with punches. I realize that some of the punches may no longer be available from Stampin' Up! but I still wanted to share this cute card with you!

Birthday Card

It really feels like a long time ago that I've posted something on my blog that was scrapbooking/cardmaking/digital related. I guess really it's been a long time since I've posted at all. A few weeks ago I made this card for my sister who had her birthday just before Valentine's Day, and I want to share it with you now.

Digital Downloads

I haven't done this in a while but here is the link for this weeks digital downloads. Not sure about what you think but I know that pretty much every since one of these is on my wish list!

Digital Downloads

I'm a few days late but I've had a lot going on this past week. We were gone on a quick trip to visit family in the Mid-west this past weekend and didn't get back until late Monday night. Then between work and a few other things I had scheduled this week I've been to busy to get around to updating my blog :( As usual.. better late than never!!

With things being so hectic at work I totally forgot that I hadn't posted the link for this weeks digital downloads until today. Ooops.. anyway here it is:

Digital Downloads

I'm pretty excited about some of the digital downloads today... more for my ever growing list. Some days I think the list grows faster than it shrinks. Really it's getting to be high time that I do something about it instead of just adding to it. Hopefully soon, when life settles down a little and I don't have a garden to deal with I can start sitting down and doing some digital scrapbooking again! Anyway here is the link for today's downloads:

Birthday Card - Bird

I couldn't decide what I wanted to do for the card so I decided to just grab a few different items and start stamping and see what happened.. the end result was this card:

I'm quite excited about this stamp set in general I love the bird, and the leaves that are in the set! If you are wondering what it is called it is: Papaya Collage. I'm going to leave it at this for tonight, if you have any questions about what I did for any of my projects feel free to leave me a message and ask :)

Finally stampin again!

So now that life has kinda found a bit of a regular rhythm again I hope to get back to creating more often again. Last night I found some time to create a bag topper and then this evening I made a birthday card. I plan to share both projects with you. I'm not promising that all the stamps I used are current - I usually try really hard, but with baby I haven't had a chance to look through my stamps to see which ones are retired yet.

So here is the bag topper:

and a closer look - blogger doesn't like me tonight and won't post it the right direction.

So there you've got my first project. Now on to the card :)

Digital Downloads - 2 days late

I know I'm 2 days late this week but I figured I'd still post the link for those of you who want to check them out! :)

So without further ado here they are:

Tuesday - Digital Downloads Day

Yay I'm super excited about some of the downloads today! I love the Knots and Ties Trim and can't wait to purchase it, and the Noel greeting cards template is a must have as well. You can check them out here..

http://www.stampinup.com/us/documents/MDS_Downloads_-_August_21.pdf

Now that I've got a laptop again and I actual got my info off of my old one which was a nice surprise that means I need to get back to creating again. I keep telling myself I need to get started on Taylina's album, so maybe one of these days! :)

I also need to finish a page for an anniversary album for my grandparents, hopefully that is one of the files I got back from the ones that were on my old laptop because I had it pretty much ready to go, it just needs an up to date family picture and then I need to get it printed.

That all being said I'm off to go cut up some peppers and bag them for the freezer. As well as some beans and kale... love having fresh veggies out of the garden! :)

It digital downloads day!

Digital downloads

I know I've missed a few of these... "digital download days". It doesn't help that I dropped my laptop and it was done for so we had to buy a new one.. in the mean time that takes a while so I was without for almost 2 weeks. Other than that having a baby and working also has a way of making life super busy so it seems like blogging has had to take the back seat :( So sad.. I miss blogging and wish I had more time to do so. Hopefully as T get's older it'll become easier!

All that being said here is the link for today's digital downloads:

http://www.stampinup.com/us/documents/MDS_Downloads_-_August_7.pdf

So sad...

.. I missed Convention! Really once you've been it's hard to not be able to go! Convention has a way of giving you inspiration and you definitely walk away with a wealth of knowledge. I know next year I definitely plan to do everything I can to be at Convention.. especially since it is their 25th Anniversary! Now you don't want to miss out on that, I know I sure don't. To make sure you can be in on the fun contact me today so you can sign up with your own customizable starter kit.

Now here is just one more fun thing - Every year for Convention Stampin' UP! comes out with a different theme and a theme song. I just thought I would share the theme song with you as well!

Digital Downloads a day late

Sorry that I'm a day late... some days things are just too hectic and yesterday was one of those. I became an Auntie again on Monday/Tuesday morning and so we went to meet our new nephew in the hospital yesterday evening.. anyway as a result things were a little crazy so I didn't get around to this. Figured that you would like to have the link even though it is late :)

Here it is:
