Tractor Card - punches

I have made a few cards here and there but most of the time I've been way to busy with work and my family as well as house work that I don't have time for extra's such as stampin'. Sad fact of my life.. I hope to fix that soon though!!! Before that though, here is a card I made for a 2 year olds birthday today. A tractor - New Holland one, with punches. I realize that some of the punches may no longer be available from Stampin' Up! but I still wanted to share this cute card with you!

Birthday Card

It really feels like a long time ago that I've posted something on my blog that was scrapbooking/cardmaking/digital related. I guess really it's been a long time since I've posted at all. A few weeks ago I made this card for my sister who had her birthday just before Valentine's Day, and I want to share it with you now.

Birthday Card - Bird

I couldn't decide what I wanted to do for the card so I decided to just grab a few different items and start stamping and see what happened.. the end result was this card:

I'm quite excited about this stamp set in general I love the bird, and the leaves that are in the set! If you are wondering what it is called it is: Papaya Collage. I'm going to leave it at this for tonight, if you have any questions about what I did for any of my projects feel free to leave me a message and ask :)

Card - Birthday

Yesterday evening I spent some time finishing several of the extra cards that I had cut the paper pre-cut for my club. I like to add these cards to my stash so that when I "need" to have a card and don't have time to sit down and make one I can just go to the box and grab one. I actually have a pile of different ones I need to put together yet, but I'll get there eventually!

While I was there making cards, I also made one for my sister-in-law who had her birthday yesterday. I couldn't use one of the ones from club since she makes them all the time herself so I came up with this one:

One thing I've started doing to a lot of the cards I make is adding the Shimmer Paint "spray" so it's all sparkly. You can kind of see it on this card if you look at the picture closely. I also stamped the "happy Birthday sentiment" in the bottom corner. Since I did tone on tone it's difficult to see in the picture. I have to admit I'm in love with the new Edgelits Dies and Embossing Folders in the Occasions Mini! Love how well they compliment each other!

Stamper 10 Project - Girl's birthday Card

Here is another card that the ladies made:

What little girl wouldn't love to get a card like this! I'm not going to say much about this card, if you have questions feel free to ask.

I have a ton of things to get done yet today/in the next few days so post are going to be short, but I do want to share some projects with you so at least you'll have something to look at when you visit my blog!

Stamper 10 Project - Men's Birthday Card

For my last Stamper 10 class I had the ladies making Birthday Cards. We made 3 different cards, but tonight I'm only going to share one with you. A men's birthday card. I'm sure a lot of you will agree that men are hard to design/make cards for. That being said SU! has some great sets in the catalog that definitely make your life a little easier. For instance what about the "Need For Speed" Stamp Set is perfect. What guy doesn't like something that has a engine in it, lol :)

Anyway, enough said.. we used the above mentioned set to create this card:

Until next time..

Technique: In-Laid Embossing - Polka dot fun - Card

This was one of my "quick" I need a card now projects. My Father-in-law had his birthday a little while back and like usual I waited until just before we had to leave to go make a card! (ask my hubby he gets frustrated at times, he's always waiting for me to finish making a card)

I'm sure for some of you this technique is nothing new, but I want to share it with you anyway :) So here goes.

First you are going to punch out various sizes of circles using our circle punches. Then you will glue them onto the front of the card.  You'll want to make sure that you have prefolded your cardstock and only the front gets placed on your embossing pad. Once it's embossed, you will add the sentiment by gluing it on with the Multipurpose Liquid glue.

I'm not giving you measurements for any of this because most of this card depends on what sentiment image you choose to use. Stamp that on a piece of cardstock and layer accordingly with the other colors beneath that.

Now here is a closer look :)

I hope that you enjoyed this fun card, and I hope that you are feeling inspired to go try it yourself now! If you need any supplies let me know, or you can shop from the convenience of your home.

Birthday Card: Brick Wall

Well I was inspired by my upline in Canada to make this birthday card for my husband. Just the other day she posted about the Brick Wall technique and so I decided that I had to use that technique for the next card I made. Of course I used a completely different stamp set and colors than she did so it looks way different. Anyway, here it is:

Also finally once more, happy birthday to my hubby! I love you and hope you have a great one :)
