L & B's Wedding

So one of the reasons I went to visit my family this time was also because a friend of mine was getting married. She asked me to take pictures at their reception at night, which I always enjoy doing. But here is a picture of the couple and then one of me with them. Any other pictures I'll be posting on my photography blog.

This wedding made me want to get out my dress again and get married all over. Not that I would want to have to go through all the planning again, but something about a friend getting married is so exciting. It's great to see how in love they are, so I guess part of that makes you want to go back to just getting married! :)  Either way I guess I'm super happy to have been married for almost 2 years already and I wouldn't go back for anything!

Having fun with family and friends!

Well this past weekend we went to visit my family, and spent some time with several friends as well. Let me tell you when you have a weekend to visit everyone for some reason there isn't enough hours in a day to get it all done!

Here is what my/our schedule looked like.

Arrive at "home" at 4:30
Eat supper
Go to shower for a friend 7:30 - 8:45ish
Go to cousin's engagement party so I can see my grandparents and aunts and uncles 9:00 - 10:30ish

Saturday:
Get up at 6:00 to go to the Farmer's Market, because I wanted to
9:00 - 11:00 go hang out with some friends for coffee
11:00 -12:30 go hang out at the Mall and do some shopping - score found a top I was looking for, for my BIL's wedding this coming August.
1:00 - Home, eat Lunch
2:30 -3:30 - Go visit my Grandma
4:00 - In town again to pick up my swaps - At my Upline's
4:30 - Meet friend so she can show me her house - They hope to get married the end of this month and are building a house

So as you can see way to much, at least Sunday was spent with my family just relaxing and attending church.

Anyway, now that you've seen what my crazy schedule was like here are some pictures :)

Update #1

So since I don't want to mess it all the way up I figure I'm going to try start updating from where I left off! So it was about the week after I finished in the greenhouse my friends Alanna & Yvonne came for a visit for several days! Of course what else can you expect, than the fact that we had a blast and "poor" John has to put up with all the things us Females think are funny etc! He is actually a really good sport about it and I love him all the more for it!

Anyway they came the end of April.. on the 29th to be exact which is the day of John's birthday. So makes for a busy day or what.. anyway at night we had John's family and Dan over for coffee and cake.. so fun ;) We sat around chatting and having a good time. The next day we decided that it was the day to go shopping since by the time they were out of bed and ready to go anywhere it wasn't even worth thinking about going somewhere exciting. It was actually a very relaxing day...we headed on to the Tri-Cities went to Walmart so I could buy some fabric for aprons. From there Alanna decided that she needed coffee, and since there is a Starbucks right close by we went and sat there and had a cup of coffee while we had a nice chat session. Then off to Maurices which turned into a huge long drawn out process as we decided to fit lots of clothes on etc. In the end that was a very sucessful stop so no complaints from any of us. Then off to the mall... we didn't spend to much time in the mall other than in JCPenny where I bought a second light and pillow for our bedroom since I still had gift cards from the wedding that needed to get used sometime!

Friday night: first we went out for Pizza close to Granger.. I had never been there before much less heard of it, even though I had driven by the place on the Freeway many a time!  It was also the night that we had a game night at Tori & Arlen's since some of the cousins from Canada were down and another family in the church had some "grandkids" visiting them. Tons of fun and games for all also making for a late evening!

On Saturday morning since I still had to go clean house, they slept in and had a riot in our little house.. baking cake for Sunday coffee since it had been John's birthday it was my turn to make something, and they were very eager to help out with the baking! At night we had another family function.. this time a "surprise" engagement party for one of John's cousins who is getting married this summer... makes for tons of family time this way..  Anyway that is about all for the exciting things that went on that weekend... other than all the pictures in general that got taken.. and I will post some of those in another post later..

Fun With Friends - Yvonne & Alanna

Well Yvonne and Alanna also came to visit me... and John of course.. LOL :) Anyway so they arrived on Thursday, September 3rd and stayed till Labour Day Monday... we had a great time like we should.. haha!

Anyway so Thursday afternoon we just kinda sat around and didn't do a ton but it was nice to just chat and catch up!

Friday was a day that was pretty much toast because I had to go back to the doctors office for results from the ultrasound and blood work.. ugh! Anway so in the end I had to go to the Hospital in the afternoon to get a shot and some more blood work which took about 1 1/2 hours because of how long the blood work took.. they needed to wait for results before they gave me the Rhogam shot.. Anyway it is enough to drive a person crazy when they had hoped to be doing something else! But we survived and had a nice little walk in between and then went back in to wait in the hospital room.. chatted and stuff.. I had a really sore butt after that.. :P

When we got home Alanna had wanted to try on the wedding dress so I told her to go for it.. :) then we had to convince Yvonne to put it on too.. cause she know it wouldn't fit her the same.. oh well we had fun and in the end she put it on too! Here's proof!

Aww look at how pretty she looks in white :P With her dark hair it looks amazing and Alanna and I just kept Ohing and ahing about it.. :)

Then we had to have coffee in the mugs that I got from Yvonne as an engagement gift.. but of course since they brought my tripod with them.. I had to get out my remote out and put it all to good use!

As you can see we had a great time drinking coffee and taking some pictures :)

Saturday morning the guys were working on the wall and yard at the duplex again.. so Alanna figured it looked pretty easy to do some work on the wall as well! hmmm you still think so Alanna? Anyway she had to have Dad show her how it was done and then she had to try it as well.. Good times eh?

Yup Yvonne everyone gets pictures taken of them when I put my mind to it and the camera is in my hand.. otherwise someday it will be like it was when I got married.. no pictures to put on a slideshow because either you took all the pics or you wouldn't let anyone take any of you :P

Haha Alanna this is what happens when you start acting funny... not that this is unusual.. but pics like that can end up in funny places!

Saturday we went to the Farmers Market in Prosser which didn't turn out to be really really great.. it is super small but hey at least we could say we had checked it out.. the next one for me to check out is the Richland one.. but that is on Fridays.. so I will have to see if I go by myself or if I sucker someone into going along with me..

After the Farmers Market we went to a winery.. yup it was kinda interesting but wow compared to the one that we went to when we were on holidays several years ago with my family this was nothing... it was to bad we couldn't see more! Of course Alanna and Yvonne were disappointed because the drinking age here is 21 so they couldn't even sample the wines.. :( bummer!

We got 3 different kinds to try.. wow they are SOOOOO Good fresh of off the vine :)

Once we got back home the girls all decided that it was time to help the guys get that wall up a little faster... but hmm ya we weren't really convinced that it helped a ton... but Alanna and Yvonne had fun helping anyway!

Then a bit later in the afternoon we went to John's parent's place and shot some guns.. Oh the fun that we had.. did we really hit a lot of anything.. hmm not really but it was great fun anyway.. I blew a few leaves off of a shrub and saw the bullet land in the neighbours field.. good times!

Then as we were finishing shotting it started the typical few drops of rain here and there.. and we had a pretty good rain storm in the end.. more than I've seen it do here yet! and of course once the sun broke through we saw a rainbow out of the kitchen window.. so out came the camera again!

Saturday night we went bowling.. which I don't have pictures of.. no I don't always take my camera everywhere.. but maybe I should have.. LOL :)

and

monday morning they left for home again... so that was the end of another great visit with some awesome albertans!
