Snow?!

I can't believe that I woke up to snow on the ground this morning! It's been spring weather around here for a while other than the last few days have been a little chillier than usual. That being said everything is getting buds on it, daffodils are blooming etc. John says he can't remember ever having snow the end of March before, not around here anyway! That being said it is melting fast so it'll be gone by lunch time!

I had to take a picture of it though because it looks so pretty! :)

Snowstorm

Well on Saturday after lunch our snow/rain storm started. Apparently for the typical weather here, it was a weird snowstorm since the snow didn't melt right away, especially since it was above freezing. It was super wet sticky, slushy snow which was fun. Anyway John decided that he was going to go out and shovel our sidewalk, but then when he was out there our neighbour offered to do ours since we have done his the last few times it snowed. So then when he didn't have to do that he figured why not build a snowman. After we got home later that night I took a picture, even though it was dark out, and it turned out it was sure a good thing that I did then rather than waiting till the morning! When I got up in the morning almost more than half the snow was already melted! :(

So here are the pics....

and the next morning.. poor mr. snowman had already fallen over, our plan for the next time it snows it to build him right on the wall leaning forward so that he will fall forward, just like Humpty Dumpty LOL :)

and today... it looks like we didn't even have a major snowstorm :(

Snow...

Well I finally decided to take a picture of our house in the snow, before all the snow melts again! Anyway I'm still kicking myself for not doing it a few days ago when there was snow everywhere, and frost on all the trees etc which made everything look so pretty! I'm really sad that things are starting to melt though, because that means that the snow's life here is short lived, once again :( Yes, I LOVE SNOW, and I know some of you reading this are thinking.. seriously?! what is wrong with her?! haha :) but you don't know what you miss until you hardly get any of it in a winter, and it just isn't the same without it! I'm saying that from experience now!
Also since I don't think I've posted a picture of the house after we painted the outside this fall now you can see what we did ;)

I'm Dreaming of a White....

Christmas.. or I should probably say Thanksgiving :) I honestly am so excited about the snow that we are getting, it started yesterday afternoon for a bit, but it was too warm for it to stick and stay, towards evening it got colder, and by the time we got out of church it was starting to stick. Anyway right now I'm finally happy to say that I'm looking at a Winter Wonderland, and there is more snow falling!  Some of you may not know why I get so excited about snow, but I've always loved snow/winter and really miss that since I moved... we hardly get any snow here that stays for any length of time! So enough said.. here is a quick picture of what I'm looking at through my window!

and since I took this picture the flakes have gotten bigger I decided to take another picture for fun (which turned into two pictures) LOL :)

Sunnyside weather.!!!?! :(

Boooo I hate the weather here this winter!!! The snow was awesome, I'll take the anyday, but the last few days all I've seen is a drizzle of rain and lots of fog!! ugh!!

Seriously I would take snow and cold any day over fog and rain in the winter!! Because that is just totally wrong, haha at least for this Albertan girl!! One thing is forsure, as soon as I can go home I'm going asap and hopefully there is some snow for me to enjoy :)

Finally I'm posting some pictures of the snow that we did have! :) I kept meaning to post about it.. just didn't happen, but I figure now it may as well go with this one :)
